"Doors Closed: A Photo Exhibit"
Oct. 16 – Nov. 15, 2009

Coinciding with the annual Buffalo-Niagara Doors Open event on Oct. 17-18, the Doors Closed exhibit offers an alternative take on Buffalo’s historic built form.

The art and photography exhibit opens Oct. 16 for a month-long run, featuring creative images of closed down, long abandoned, or already demolished sites. These buildings are located throughout the WNY/Niagara region, varying from residential to commercial and industrial.

While Doors Open highlights today's architectural masterpieces and historic sites, Doors Closed brings visitors into a realm of forgotten, rarely-seen architecture and significant industry of the past. Photographers and artists from Buffalo and Toronto, each with their own style, come together to showcase their images for this special exhibit.

Doors Closed is open to the public from October 16 to November 15, 2009
at 464 Gallery, located at 464 Amherst Street, Buffalo NY 14207.

An artist reception takes place from 6 – 10 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2009.
